hey guys i have a c6 that i would like to put a ipod interface in. i was looking at the USA SPEC PAC-11 or the Neucleus-X2i and i see they easily hook up into the xm reciever i nthe rear of the car, but i dont have xm in my car, can they still be hooked up and to where, when i am in the source menu on the nav unit, sorry i forgot to mention i have the nav, all it says is am, fm1, fm2 and cd. no xm. would i need a different unit or can the same work? thanks for the help
Jon
Sorry, I just don't have any experience with add-ons to the stock systems except the Sirius module. I have seen conflicting reports re: the Neucleus and the battery drain issues, some folks say there are still problems and some say that software revisions have resolved the issue. I do remember reading one post a good long while back of someone who was able to hook it into the NAV radio without XM by tapping into wires, but I don't remember the details, sorry.
You can use the USA spec model, on the Nav it will pop up with CDC or CD changer mode after CD, it adds the option once you hook something up to the AUX port.
you can call the people over at USA spec for re assurance though... the number is 626 336 3839 and also 626 336 3836
We'd all appreciate it that if you get something hooked up and working you post here to let everyone know. I would love to have a definitive answer to this often-asked question!
