Help with HU

ok i installed a new HU in my 98 C5. it was working fine last night then today it wont turn on. i checked the fuse and it was fine. as soon as i put the fuse back in the HU turned on. HU was in standby mode, as soon as i turn it to anything but standby, it turns off in a few seconds. reset the fuse again and same thing. any ideas

is it just a straight hu swap (h/u and bose interface) or did you do a speaker swap as well? check the wiring of your speakers. you may have a short.

I can tell you that while I was installing my new Kenwood head if I messed around with the wires hanging in back it would bgo into "Protect" mode and stay there until I disconnected ALL power.

I think Scott is right. I think you have a short.
