Another PDX4.150 question
Didn't want to hijack Mister Peebody's thread...
My head has two RCA's labeled sub woofer. If I put them on channels three and four can I:
1) wire the two voice coils separately at two ohms using both channels 3&4?
or
2) bridge the channels with wire (3+ to 4-) and series the two voice coils?
If I bridge them sign option 2 do I set the gains on both to the same level?
From: Ok! So you don't believe in conspiracies, but will you acknowledge the possibility of there being coordinated activities in secret places? Texas
Option 1 may work since the amp sees 2 seperate 2 ohm loads. What I don't know is if it is ok to run 2 4 ohm loads on the front and 2 2 ohm loads on the rear.
Option 2 works since the amp sees 1 4 ohm load and there is only 1 gain control for those 2 channels so it should not be an issue.
I was originally planning to run my 4.150 with 2 4 ohm loads on the front and a dual 4 ohm sub wired independently on the rear, but my sub does not allow for the voice coils to be wired independently.
I think option 2 is best for you!
