PAC VET1 question
I have the pac adapter installed to my stock unit. There is a powered sub I want to use that has line inputs and speaker inputs. there are 4 rca jacks coming out of the pac. Are these line level, or speaker? the sub has a switch for either . if speaker level is what is coming from the pac, do I still need to run an 8 gage wire to power the sub? Or does the Bose head unit take care of that with the pac. Also, what is the little blue wire on the pac? is that a power lead that should go to the added amplifier on the sub? I forgot to label the 4 rca ends...will this be a problem? I did make a note that red=right. thanks
1. RCA's are line level.
2. You need to run an 8 gauge power cable either way.
3. The blue wire is usually the remote power turn on (low level power that turns the amp on and off with the headunit.
4. You will be able to figure out front/back left/right RCA's by using the fader and balance on your headunit.

ok, great information (that was omitted from the crappy PAC instructions!) So, for a bass subwoofer I can use Y connectors and merge both rights and lefts because I don't need stereo output for bass, correct?

Correct, I am using the 4 RCAs for a 4 channel amp and a mono amp for 2 subs. I used a Y at the rear RCA and hooks it up as follows.
2 front RCA to channels 1 & 2
2 Rear RCA to a "Y" to channels 3 & 4 and Mono amp
