1) I pulled the carpeting back in the pass side footwell, then drilled a hole along the left side, as high up under the dash as I could. This brings the power cable thru the firewall above the starter, which is where I connected mine. Use a grommet and some silicone/RTV/sealer and you're weatherproof.
2) Antenna adapter usually plugs between the antenna lead-in and the back of your head unit.
3) Using the same ground for radio and all amps will prevent loops which can pick up noise. There is plenty of metal under the dash you can bolt into anywhere and run all new grounds. Or, connect to where the radio is already grounded- the frame in front of the pass side door (under the carpet in the footwell). At least that's where it was in 89...
ok Im getting close to finishing but I still cant find the antena wire. There was no plug in the back of my stock unit (bose gold) for the antena. So where would the wire be?

Remove the hush panel on the passenger side. your Bose tuner is mounted basically behind the passenger side vents in the dash..
ok well I pulled off the piece on the passanger side (the underneath part) I cant get off the carpeted peice cant figure out how. But there are tons of wires there, but nothing that says Bose on it. Am I missing somthing?
well as soon as I get 1 problem figured out a new 1 comes along. Here is the new problem.
I am trying to hook the + cable back to the batter w/ the power calbe hooked to it. But with the cable hooked up the screw wont reach the threads to connect to the battery. What do I do now?
no, you might can find another wire, or a longer bolt or an adapter, i have seen the adapters on cars, dunno where to get one, i have a side and top post battery, so i just used the top post for my power
Get one of these or an equivalent. Go to this page and go down to the bottom. They cost about 10$ and you can get one from any place that sells car sterio. Then connect your power wire to it with an o-ring crimp or connector. For 4 gauge I would recommend the screw on type (10$) on the same site. All wire makers make these so you don't need stinger. Phoenix gold, street wires, and monster are a few others. Stinger I have found is a little cheaper and does the same exact thing. :yesnod:

to get the carpeted piece off you need to get the entire upper IP pad off. yes, it is a pain in the ****, but i found it was the best way to get at the receiver, which is a silver box in that passenger IP area. it does not have bose on it, but it should have a delco sticker on it somewhere. the antenna wire is a pink one in my 92 going to a six-pin black connector. careful, this connector does not have 6 wires coming out of it.
i cut that wire and soldered another to reach the center console to my new aftermarket head unit.
