you guys in your dual 12's and 15's with thousands of watts of power. jeez!

Honestly spkrboy know's his shiz. I find myself either agreeing or learning from most of what he writes.

Look for a quality sub with decent x-max, and give it good clean power with plenty of headroom.

i think the 4 cubes is the least of your concern. First find a sub you like, say a w7 or idmax (since you want big spl) then; as radio suggested, modify the box to fit the requirements of the sub. Then go amp shopping and get an amp that will push the subs cleanly (dont worry about getting an amp with rms power greater then the sub's recommended power requirements. subs can usually take gobs more power then stated and after setting your gains you'll also probably benefit from increased headroom. if you underpower the subs you'll be tempted to set the gain a bit higher and will introduce distortion. distortion will blow a speaker far faster then over powering (within reason)

Just to stress it one more time, does anyone think it's odd he's got 4.4 cuft or airspace in a Z06 and still has half a trunk? I really think he needs to remeasure the box first before we get into too many recommendations.

Plus, and single high excursion 10" in a ported box would be gobbs of bass, if done correctly. I've got a little experience with that.

Besides, that big of a box, and multiple large drivers, can you say HEAVY. Trust me, you'll notice a performance difference by adding 200lbs of stuff in the back. You'll even have to lower the front to level the car back out. I had a larger spring custom made when I did the system in my FRC.
