At one time, I successfully made MP3 disks that would work in the Vette. I got the procedure down, but my computer won't recognize my RW-CD drive. I have iTunes, but seems like the RW-CD is controlled by Roxio EZ CD creator 5.3. I can get it to work, but only after uninstalling and reinstalling. It works for a while, then the system won't recognize a RW-CD disk. I know XP SP2 was not compatible with EZCD 5.XXX, but the updates made it so.
So, my question is: Is there some program that will enable my system to recognize my RW-CD other than Roxio? Roxio's support is less than great, and I'm getting frustrated. I've uninstalled and re-installed 5-6 times this morning alone, and like I say, worked for a bit, but now is gone.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Easy CD Creator is not what allows the CD-RW drive to be recognized by Windows, Windows recognizes it all by itself. Sounds like Easy CD Creator is getting in the way, not helping.
The MP3 CD's that iTunes itself burns will work fine in the C6. My recommendation is to uninstall Easy CD Creator and use iTunes instead. Create a playlist made up of the songs you want to burn. Set the Preferences on the Advanced tab in iTunes to burn as an MP3 CD. Make sure you're using v1 of the ID tags in iTunes as well.
If you rip your MP3's in variable bit rate then the C6 system will sometimes not play it all the way through, but switch to the next song. Nothing you can do about that - the MP3 support from the factory heads is iffy at best.
I appreciate the replies, but the problem is I can't make anything, either with Itunes or Nero, right know because my computer won't recognize a RW-CD disk (although it did this morning). As soon as I completed making a disk for the little woman, I ejected the disk, and was going to put some MP3's on a disk, and it won't recognize a RW-CD. It does recognize a music cd. It must be a driver or something. Device manager says it working properly (although I disagree).

You also keep saying RW-CD. I don't know if that is accurate or not but if it is then you have a rewritable CD and not just a writeable CD. If I recall properly it is possible to "lock" a CD-RW so it cannot be erased. If you did that the PC would not see it as RW any more.
I've also heard that CD-RW discs sometimes do not play well in the car head.
