Which fuse supplies power to the 12V constant in the footwell? And is said fuse in car or under hood? I had power, but now I don't. Please Help?
Thank You!

On a C6 you can use the heated seat fuse with the add-a-circuit. Under the footwell of the passenger side.

there are several. i simply tapped into the battery + terminal post on the underhood fuse box. IMO it's the cleanest way to get a constant source and you don't risk blowing a fuse or robbing an accessory of power.

What are you running power to? Is there anything wrong with tapping into the supply for the fuse box in the pass footwell?

My question is in regard to the orange, yellow, and black wires in the passenger side footwell that are not used from the factory. The yellow is the commonly used acc. power supply. The orange is a constant 12 volt supply that I used to power the Nav module and brain for my headunit. I've lost power to it and need to know which fuse is associated with it.

Default For Future Reference

Thanks to Mr. Bill Curlee, I can post this information for future reference:

The yellow wire is fused at the instrument panel fuse panel with fuse# 11 (assry/off) 20 amps

The orange wire is fused at the instrument panel fuse panel with fuse# 7 (c/ltr) 20 amps

Black is ground

This info was specifically solicited for a 1998 C5 convertible, but it may be accurate for other/all C5s.

Thank you again Bill.
