I think I'm finally gonna put a small system in my C5. I'm thinking about going with one of subthumps single 10" stealth boxes and put a JL Audio W3 sub in it.
What's a good reliable but cheap amp that I could put in the back that will not take up a whole lot of space. I wanting to keep everything stock looking!
Also my next question, where do I come into the car in the engine bay and rear of the car for my power wire? This is the only part that I'm dreading since I've never had a system in my C5.
I talked to the guys at subthump and they told me since I'm wanting to keep my factory Bose in dash cd player and factory bose system that they have a wiring harness that I can hook up to my factory cd player that has rca jacks and a place for my remote turn on wire. Just wanted to make sure that this is all I will need to make my system sound right!
MTX road thunder amps tend to be inexpensive new. If you're not opposed to buying used, I've purchased several amps from ebay for dirt cheap (once bought an alpine 75x4 for $30 shipped just because it had a scratch)
Thanks for the imput! I'm looking to find a good quality amp but don't really wanna spend $3-400 if all possible. Anybody here got a good used amp they might sell?
People knock Profile amps. But I have never had any issues with them in my last 4 cars. Most can be had for under $150. New and cheaper on E-bay, New also.
Thanks for the imput can somebody please tell me how you go in the rear of the car with the power wire? That's my only hold back right now. Is there a factory hole I can go in or will I have to make my own? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
