Default Wrong peripheral interfaces, can I still use them?

I have a 2007 coupe 3LT without Onstar. I'm going totally aftermarket with new head, amps, and speakers so no Bose. Somehow, I got it in my head that I needed the GMAH24 and GMAHCM modules instead of the GMCO module. Unfortunately, I bought them a while back and can't return them. Aside from spending more money than I should have, is there any reason why I can't use what I have for a no bose/no onstar install?

Thanks.

Since all you'll actually be using is the power and chimes from those modules my *guess* is that they'll work fine. The chime signals and power on/off coming across the data bus are likely identical regardless of Bose/non-Bose so the modules would work.

Keep in mind, it's a guess.

Default GMAH24 should work fine

Gamestar,
Although it has not been completely tested in the 2007 model corvette. The databus is the same as the 2005-2006 corvette. In those cars if you USE a GMAH24 you can retain on Star, and bose. In a case such as yours you can use the interface and it will retain all your safety warning chimes, and provide you RAP (retained accessory outout). The GMCO is just less expensive because it does not support onstar retention and Bose retention.

P.S. if you have an older GMAH24, look at the purple wire on the vehicle side of the Peripheral interface harness (the input side). If there is a Single wire going to the Vehicle harness, then you will need to make one modification. See http://www.peripheralelectronics.com...arness_Mod.pdf
on now exactly to make the modification.

If the purple wire mentioned earlier slpits into 3 purple wires going into the vehicle harenss, then you have the newer (revised) interface, and do not need to make that modification.

good luck!
