Weird question, but here goes: I used to have a head unit for my Jeep that talked ("hello" when you turned it on, that sort of thing). It annoyed the hell out of my friends but I loved it. Unfortunately, it was stolen, and I don't remember the brand or model (I just know this particular one was discontinued after about two years; I guess too many people were annoyed by it).
Anyway, any clues on talking stereos? I'd love to give my Vette a bit more personality, and don't feel like embedding a computer and programming it myself.
Thanks! That let me find out that Sony calls this 'Voice Guide', which makes web searches much easier.
I'm sure I didn't used to have a Sony, but can't figure out what the feature was called on my old deck, so I can't figure out what other options I have. If anyone knows any other head units with a voice-guide-like-feature, please let me know.
