I got my 91 in may of 2007 right when I got it I bought an aftermarket cd player for it and still have not put it in because I can not find the bose gold adapter for an aftermarket cd player does anyone know where I can get one thanks
Crutchfeild carries this conversion wiring harness. I used it when I converted my 90 to an aftermarket Panasonic unit. Let me forwarn you this is not a fun project, it took me a good while to make at all, but it was well worth it.
i went to crutchfield and they have the same adapter i already have it doesnt fit a 91 and on the 91 there are 2 plugs that go into the bose gold and i need the conversion that puts the 2 plugs into one that then goes to the cd deck
You are going to have to connect the adapter to the wires on the output side of the CDM receiver, which is located under the dash on the passenger side. The two plugs that used to connect to the head unit will no longer be used. You will find more information here http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=941281
I have the same problem with my 91 vette. I have removed the head unit but I don´t know what to do with the connectors and the wires. I was looking for an adapter from the corvette connector to the ISO that had the majority of aftermarket CD player... but i have read your post about the CDM receiver... Could you install it?
