AM reception
After having my Coupe tinted, I am having reception problems on the AM side of the radio. There is constant static when the engine is running and the interference grows while accelerating. When I turn the engine off, I lose the static somewhat, the single is clearer, but it is still there. I also had the right rear speaker changed the same day. Is there something that could have been left uninstalled on the speaker and/or is there a product or troubleshoot for the lousy AM reception. Was great prior to the work.. Thanks in advance for any advise....

Sounds like a metallic tint. I have heard of this happening and I do not know how to fix it other than using a non-metallic tint.
You may want to check the connections and make sure they are clean and free of corrosion. The spray they use to adhere the tint may have gotten in the contacts. It's a longshot...

I am in the exact same boat as you. I just posted on this topic before I clicked on your thread. Not sure if we will get much of a response, but I am interested too.
