Please, send the plans (and any other you may have for handling the amp in a '79??) and let me have your contact as well...time allowing I'm certain I could put one together, I expect for a reasonable price.
Hi Matt...got your PM on the enclosure. I should be able to put one together without a problem. I'll post progress pix. You mentioned a "baffle" in a post...where/what/how does this get inserted into the enclosure?
I have my bezel out and plan on modding it this weekend...any tips on the best way to cut it? The metal sleeve that came with the Kenwood HU is just slightly larger so I should be able to make a clean hole that will fit the insert snugly without any space. I notice a lot of guys seem to cut a flat metal plate that they insert the HU through for support. Is this needed or just a good idea.

Enjoy, Steve
The baffle IS the top of the box that the subwoofer hole is cut out of. It just needs to be the thickest and more sturdy of the rest of the box. If you make the box out of .50" MDF, then make sure the baffle, or side that the sub mounts to, is .75".
For your gauge bezel where the radio hole is cut, you won't need anything but the hole for the cage. Your bezel is plastic, and it's very thick, and plenty sturdy for the cage and head unit. Just cut it big enough so the cage is snug and doesn't move around after you have bent the tabs out to secure the cage in.
DB...the MB Quart RWE-252 arrived yesterday. Umm...are you sure this thing isn't going to vibrate my rear bubble window right out of it frame?! Holy cats, it's a work of art! I'm working on projects around the house and I'm having a hard time staying focused with that thing staring at me inviting me to get 'er done so I can rock the neighborhood. Nice choice and a super sweet deal from wooferetc.com ($100 delivered).
Please confirm...the sub gets plugged directly to channels 3 & 4 of the cadence TXA-3004 amp and does not get fed from the Excelon 591 HU. The speaker has inputs for two pairs of wires (standard configuration). Is this the proper choice (vs parallel or serial arrangements)?

Many thanks, Steve
You're right, that sub is fantastically built. As far as wiring, you want to wire the two sets of terminals in series, so use the jumper included, and cross the POS from one set to the NEG of the other. Then run wires from the outside two terminals on the sub to the outside two terminals for channels 3 and 4 when bridged. There should be a designation showing which terminals to use when bridging.
