I'm considering installing the Ipod2Car, but I have a major reservation about the install. I have never heard this set up in a car. To me, this isn't worth the money or trouble unless there is at least CD quality sound. I would rather do without an Ipod in the car than have very poor sound.
Those of you with this installed, how does it sound? CD quality or not?
It depends on what your understanding of "CD quality" is. It's as good as it gets from the source. MP3's are not CD quality. But I think your question is about the interface. If that's true then yes, CD quality.
I do understand the quality of the MP3 will affect the quality of the sound. Basically, I'm hoping to acheive the same sound if the same MP3 was on a burned CD in my in dash CD player or if it was played with the ipod.
Robvuk, from your reply, it seems if I can acheive this goal. Correct?

Yes. Sorry if I was not clear. MP3's on your iPod2car will be the same as an MP3 CD.
Sounds great but it is dependent on the bitrate you have loaded onto your Ipod. I mostly upload 320 bitrate and it sounds great. I also have a splitter that allows me to connect the XM Rhoady and I simply switch between both.
Correction: I use the Aux2Car... I started with the Ipod2Car but wanted to hear the XM radio so I switched to the Aux2Car.
