I have bought some of the parts i need to redo my system ...i have the H/U and front speakers which are 6.5 components but i need to know whats the best size to put in the rear right behind the seats ....do i want to put more 6.5 components?? or another size....i will be doing sub in the back thanks in advance
This is a highly-debated topic. Opinions range from rear coaxes at full volume to smaller rear components to no rear speakers at all. My own opinion has changed over time as to what I think is the best route.
The best thing you can do is listen for a while without rear speakers and decide if it's something you miss. If it is, you can go several different ways.
I just reinstalled 5.25 rears in my Z06. I was given that same advice and after giving it about eight months, I decided that I missed the "fill" in the rear. Kind of wished I did it in the beginning but my installer talked me out of it. Spent the past weekend redoing all his work and spent a little more money than I would have if I did it all at the same time...
well i bought the pol audio 6.5 for the front ....i guess i will buy another set for the back.......so that takes care of the head unit and the speakers....now all i have to do is work on the amp and sub.....been looking at the 5 channel amps to power it all .....i have went this far and invested way to much money so now it comes down to which sub or subs is the best and which amp to power it all
Get two amps invest in the alpine meadia manager system and then you can turn them off and on when you want. I put 5 1/4 components in the back and turn them off and on with the media manager and the difference is amazing plus with the manger you can delay all of the speakers to match perfectly. Good luck

...or you could use any deck's built in fader to fade forward fully

Hi, currently I am pursuing another career change by going to school, but if you want something like a stealth or hangover box made for a specific sub, give me a shout. Due to school starting up, I just will not have the time at present for custom made boxes that require separate calculations from the Stealth and Hangover boxes.
