Default JL audio or alpine amp help

hi, upgrading my stock bose/nav /onstar in my 08 Z. would like a stealth like install and to save as much trunk room{ golf clubs} as possible. was looking at jl stealth box sub,zr 650 csi components for doors, and xr 525 for fill. i was planning on powering them with jl audio 450/4 and 500/1

i ran across a website where i found a great deal on the alpine PDX 600/1 mono and 150/4 channel series of amps. they seem significantly smaller than the JL audio. anyone have any experience with the alpines?
i listen to classic rock, alternative, some rap, and some blues. i am looking to play my music loud but in my car, tight bass, with a good sound stage, clarity, is this over kill? which amps are better and am i looking at the wrong speakers

Alpine, JL are both reputable names in Car Audio, I do not think you can go wrong with either ...

I have both the JL 300/2 and the pdx2.150, I am running a set of 3-way components. Both amps play the higher frequencies well, but the JL sounds better at the midrange and midbass range. I was going for a total stealth look, but decided to keep the larger JL amps in the car. The pdx is in the garage....

to save some dough for my engine mods and maintaining space i'm leaning on the alpine pdx 150/4 and the pdx 600/1 what would be a good component set for the doors and a coax set for the rear? the zr's are a bit pricey for the front. any thoughts on pioneer premier 720 or other components around $400 a pair? will continue with the jl stealthbox ,however the shop kept pushing a 10" alpine with a custom enclosure, and some mb quart reference components for the doors. thanks,

I'm using Alpine for my full range speakers/amps and JL for my sub and sub amp. I'm very happy with that combination.

You should check out the JL C5-650 speakers. They are new from JL. you will save a pretty penny from the ZRs and alot of people in the know say there as good or better sounding. I have them in my doors getting 150 watts each. they sound stellar.
