Default XM Commander Trouble

I love my XM Commander and I have been using it for 2 1/2 years. Recently my radio system has begun "forgetting" that the XM is installed, and I have to disconnect and and re-connect the harness under the passenger foot well to get the system to recognize the XM is there thru the AUX button.(I installed the XM myself using the very detailed instructions posted here on the Forum). Whenever I do this, after enough disconnects and re-connects, the XM will start playing again. Can someone tell me why, for the first 2 years after install this never happened and now it happens about every 10 to 15 times that I turn the car off and restart it. I have not replaced my battery or made any changes to the electrical system of any kind. I love XM radio and want it there every time I start the car. You guys expert avice/opinions really appreciated. My car is a 2001 Quicksilver Coupe.

That happens to me when I disconnect the battery.
I know you said you haven't changed the battery or anything to interrupt it, but thats where I'd look.
Something is interrupting the power (intermittently) prior to it getting to the radio.
Or your battery is bad.
