and its overpriced and comes with there entry level sub
Not exactly correct. The JL 10w1 series would be their entry models. The Elemental Designs 11kv is listed as their entry level sub. They are both rated at 300 watts each. Both Im sure are of the highest quality. As to price thats subjective,Ill pay extra for research and development that JL puts into its products to get the best possible sound from the small enclosure alloted. Not to mention a warranty from a reputable company.

Many people mistook my 10" JLAudio entry level subs in my PT cruiser for 12 or 15 inch subs.... But in a .6 of airspace, I would go with an 8" sub...
Not trying to start anything here politically, I know who the mountain is and they make a good product, but for those who are loyal to the JL brand, my enclosure is almost exactly the same airspace and can accomodated a 10W1 OR a 10W3V3. We've sold a lot of enclosures to customers who used a JL sub...and no one has called to complain.
There are also MANY other subs out there that will perform great in our enclosure, so back to the recommended list...
Here are just a few of mine in alphabetical order...
My tests show the ED 11kv will be OK in 0.6 ft^3, but it will need significant power because it's horribly inefficient. On top of that, the specs were far enough off from the manufacturer's that consistency is a concern. I can't second their recommendation. There are better drivers out there.
JL makes very good (and consistent) stuff that's simply WAY overpriced, but at least you know what you're getting.
I was asking a similar question last year.. difference is I was going to be building a stealth box for a C5 so it was more air space.
I lucked up on a Tweeter going out of business and getting rid of everything so I bought a JL10w3v3 for I think $180 (cant remember been a while now) and I can say I have been very happy with it. Yes, JL is overpriced, but I have never had any complaints out of the few things I got from them.

Unless your a crazy audiophile im sure if you pick a decent sub you will be happy with it
That's exactly how not to pick a subwoofer. You have to look through specs to find the ones that will work properly in the airspace you provide in your enclosure. If it's not meant for your box, it'll sound bad no matter how good or expensive it is.
The entry-level ID10 appears right down the middle for your box.

Yes, so based on my airspace in my box, are there any other subs that will sound good given the type of music that I listen to (would a Qcb of 0.85 - 0.9 be about right?)
These are my surround speakers (front and rear) used in my home theater system. They include JBL W10GTIs and JBL 2425 compression drivers on P.Audio horns. I hand built the crossovers using high quality parts and by-pass caps.
Most people think that the JBL WXXGTIs are just for subs, but they actually quite flat out to about 1,100-1,200 Hz. I cross them over at 800 Hz.
Crossovers are based on JBL design but are tweeked using 1/6 octave analyzer to optimize the frequency response to the horn flare.
