Improving budget system?
Old guy (45) on a tight budget. :o
I've cobbled together a stereo that's much better than the Bose, but always looking to improve.
Panasonic CQ-C8400U
MTX-8302
CDT 6.5 mids w/MTX x-over & tweets
Kenwood KAC-7201
RE 12D4
(all used,~$400, total
)
Thinking better componants should be my first move.
Thoughts?

Very modest. Gonna have to save & replace stuff one at a time.
Basically want to know what to do first.

SQ is my ultimate goal. No sound deadning, yet. Had planned on doing the trunk, but hadn't considered the doors.
Likes- Bass. Got more than I need and pretty clear.
Dislikes- I have a "hole" between bass & mid-bass
hu- never been happy with this unit (lots of little things)
grtting a "buzz" from the componants at higher volumes

deadening the doors will help reduce that buzzing at high volume. it doesnt take much to improve what you already have

Sorry haven't heard the memphis set, but I think that Access and Polyglass are some of the best SQ/Buck bargains in a passive set.
There should be a dealer near you.

OK, so I'll deaden the doors, then re-evaluate.
Thanks for the input
