I am planning to add a Sony XM-SD61X amp with custom built dual 10" subwoofers to my 2007 C6 coupe. This is a non-bose, 2LT stock system. I want to avoid the dash/console tap in scheme. My sub amp has speaker and low level inputs, and I would like to use the passenger door woofer as the sub-amp input.
I have seen many wire-tap photos, but they are all taken from the HU. Is there information for the amp located at the passenger side floorboard? Can I get speaker level outputs from there?
You most likely won't find that information because it's an inferior way to accomplish what you want, for a few reasons. It's as much work to get at those wires as it is to do it right and tap at the HU output.
You should always use a line-level signal over speaker-level when it's available.
