Like what kind of bulb you need? I would say it can only fit a certain standard size from the factory. Or are you looking to find out what Kelvin of HID to get?

Post a link to the projection headlights you are getting.

Well I would definetly go HID for the low beam. The C6 has about 4300K low beams but I would go for about 6000k which would give it a nice white w/ a little blue. As far as the high beams it would be nice to have HIDs there too but I've been told it would "harm" the ballast from flashing it on and off and it wouldn't last. I would probably just find a nice regular halogen bulb for whatever size you need and it would work fine. Not sure if you have fog light HIDs or not but thats what I will be doing in the future: 6k Lowbeam + 6K fogs.

Not trying to push this website but many people I know have had good experience with them: XenonKing you would be using the single bulb kit. 1 for just the lowbeams or 2 single beam kits for the lowbeams and the foglights

If you find out what size the low beam bulb is and the high beam bulb is on the kit you will be using I could help you more.

In my custom retrofit (seen below) I used a set of hella 90mm modules (one projector, one FF reflector) for high and low beams. I had A LOT ot trimming to do which probably wouldn't have been as bad if i was using somthing a little more powerful than a dremel.

my thread:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...ector+retrofit

To avoid clearence issues, I'd suggest tossing the OEM reflector and building an entirely new mounting surface from an aluminum sheet. You can bolt this sheet to the same place the reflector was for easy adjustment of the entire unit. If you're feeling really ambitious, you can fiberglass the mounts to make them look smooth and such.

I retrofitted the 90mm halogen modules to fit the D2S HID bulbs with very little effort and a satisfactory performance. There's no reason to go tossing 10x the money on a xenon projector version unless you really-really need to have it.

Keep us posted. I love custom retrofits.

I guess I need to rephrase this question,so here it goes. First things first I am not keeping the pop up headlights. I want to completely remove them from the car and go with a custom static mount kit like the breathless performance setup. This is to get a look similar to the C6 headlights. I'm trying to find a good projection low beam and high beam kit. Not the bulb,I need recommendations on the actual lighting kits.

In that case, my sugggestion would be to grab a set of breathless lenses (I believe east coast corvettes will sell them seperately)

this guy had great success with Acura NSX dual projectors: (though they're expsnsive and difficult to find)

Your best bet for fixed headlights would be Hella's 50mm modules. They're easy to mount/aim and look really nice.

Here's a detailed writeup on how to build the Light mounts.
