Well, to give a little history on the car. It is an 89 vette that had a stereo already in it. It placed 3rd in the Expert class at the USACi World Finals in 06. I took a year off and during the year to setup my new business, Dream Carz of Arizona. I decided the vette needed to be the demo/competition car but needed to be refreshed. So everything got pulled. The concept is to take all the acoustic anomalies of the vette and be rid of them as much as possible. So the interior would need a total redesign and reinforcement.
So to answer your question, yeah a new dash is in the construction phase to get a correct speaker placement.

Are you setting it up for driver and passenger, or just driver?
Are you going to cover all hard interior surfaces with some kind of sound absorbing material?
I would LOVE to do this with a C4...
Put all the speakers in the dash on axis, subwoofer in the center, maybe low end reinforcement in the rear... relocate the IP to the center.... Man that would rock!

Being set up for both seats. Sound absorbing material is going to be almost a must. Will have to see as it progresses though as to how much.
