After-Market Nav/DVD ?

After-Market Nav/DVD ?
Not looking to start a war of which is the best or hey you shouldn't do that but....
1) Which after-market Nav/Dvd's have been hacked/wired/rigged so that you can work the Nav while driving (which means the passenger can work it while I'm driving)
2) Which after-market Nav/Dvd's have been hacked/wired/rigged so that you can watch DVD's while driving (which means my wife wants to be able to watch a DVD while I drive us on trips)

Wow, tons of good info.
New questions (I'm lazy and don't want to bounce around tons of websites to get info)
1) Is the Eclipse a cd based Nav or hard drive (if hard drive how do you update?)
2) The guy @ Mobile One said all Nav's are based off of Garmin, is this true because it doesn't appear to be?
3) As far as sound goes, how is the quality of the stereo in these units (KW - 7120, P - Z2, Eclipse, Alpine)?
4) What type of power are these head units putting out? Enough to run a good set of door speakers? Or do you really need an extra amp for that?

I believe eclipse is harddrive based on some models and dvd on others, update is from a dvd id assume
All navs aren't garmin based. IMO garmin is the only way to go and the others just arent up to par, hence why i basically only recommend kenwood
SQ is decent in these units, obviouslly a high end single din will have better SQ but these units rival anything factory, i wouldnt worry about it.
Realistically they put out 20watts rms per channel at best. Coudl it power door speakers yeah but id get an amp if you wanna do it right
