I have a 2003 Z06. Just purchased an Alpine CDA-9885 from Crutchfield. Wired the thing and I have no power. Did a search on here and found this:
I added an aftermarket Headunit but it won't turn on, what do i do now?
When the bose head unit is removed from the wire harness the accessories power lead is disconnected by the pcm. The acc wire is what 'tells' your headunit to turn on so you'll have to tap into some other source for this. The easiest place to tap this lead from is fuse number 22 under the passenger floor board.
Which wire is the Acc wire? What color would it be? Sucks driving with no radio and with the dash torn apart. Any and All help will be greatly appreciated.
In the upper left hand corner of the fuse panel, passenger side footwell.
They are sometimes hidden or tucked back on the outside of the fuse box in the upper left hand corner. Three wires that are just plack taped together, those are what you need. Hope that helps. Mark
Thank You, I thought is was the yellow wire, was not sure. Also thank you for the fuse box location. Both pieces of information will be helpful, just gotta get out and do it. It's Sunday....I'm lazy
