Default Polk Audio in C5

Do any of you have Polk Audio's in your C5? Is there a particular Model #? I'm lookin to upgrade to polk audios all around, and possibly installing some tweeters in the A pillar as well. The door speakers are tooo low.

Also, any recommendations on a sub woofer? 10'' or 15''? Amp?

ALready picked out my MP3 Cd Player....goin with the Kenwood.....

Thanks for any info you can provide

Polk is kinda mainstream stuff and not real high end. Same with the kenwood. What are you looking to spend on the equipment and what amps are you going to use?

I'm not familiar with all the amp tech stuff.....I was told that Polk Audio should provide a good low deep bass, as well as a good midrange sound. I listen to mostly techno bass driven music. And I would like to crank it higher than midlevel without having to worry about distortion and static, etc. etc......Looking for a clean sound..

I'm open to other brand speaker suggestions and any recommended accessories to go with it.

Thanks

Depends on your spending budget. A JL Audio stealthbox is a good bass upgrade for the price. A bandpass box will give you the best deep bass for your music. I would ask a sterio shop about a custom bandpass box with either a JL Audio w6 woofers, Orion HCCA competition subs, or Audiobahn AWT subs. These all require alot more power than the stealthbox and will be a more expensive option but will provide much more bass.
Mids and tweets look at Focal Kevlar and Utopia, A/D/S 3 series, Boston Acoutics Pro, and MB Quart QSD or QM series. These are the best around. Listen to them to see what sounds best. They are also pricey and power pigs so they will require more power. For amps look at Orion, A/D/S, Soundstream, Phoenix Gold, and Nakamichi. For a lower priced alternative, Rockford Fosgate. If you go with RF, you would want to increase the power rating vs. the other amps listed by about 40% to match their power. Ex: a 60w Soundstream amp = 100w RF.
Lastly, forget that your deck may have power. All deck ratings are screwed up and the highest REAL power you can get in a deck is 12w/channel.
Lastly the Alpine 7878 is the best MP3 capable deck and will kick the Kenwood's tail.
Hope this helps http://www.mmxpress.com has prices on most of the equipment listed and links to all the manufacturers.
