Tuning Question
I'll post the settings and would appreciate suggestions.
Tweets..........HP 3500 hz......................slope 12db (passive)
Mids..............BP 900 hz ---3500 hz...slope 6db (passive)
Midbass........BP 80 hz ----1250 hz...slope 24db (active)
Sub................BP 20 hz ----150 hz .......slope 24db (active)
I'm just looking for a standard baseline, if there is one.
Thanks

I would probalby try
MW162 70-700hz @ 24db
MD142 700hz @24db - 3500 @ 24
MD102 3500hz @ 24
I wouldn't go lower than 700 with the dome mid, and keep it sharp (24db or better) so you don't damage it.
Ideally, the less midrange you play with the midbass the better.
Careful on 700, listen for distortion. Bump to 800 if you hear any.
I know some people that run the MD142 lower, but I think they're playing with fire.
Otherwise - 150hz on the sub? I cant imagine that sounds very good. Maybe 80hz tops.
Also try flipping polarity on the sub, sometimes it will sound "better"
Balancing with a DB meter is a tough job. You might be measuring a spike in the response that needs to be EQd out, even though the rest of the speaker is fairly quiet. IE, if your speaker plays at an average of 80db, and has a 95db spike (resonance, whatever) then you're going to think the speaker is playing at 95db...
example

If this was your midrange and tweeter section, (1k+) you would measure the volume as 83db, even though its really only about 65-70db. So you could end up turning it way down to fix a problem that needs to be addressed otherwise. (Eq, speaker placement, etc)

I will try your suggestions.
Mid to tweeter looks okay, but midbass to mid seems odd to me. If you mid is set to 900 hz, then your midbass should be there or below 900 hz.
Same goes for the sub to midbass transition. If your midbass can handle 90 hz as a cutoff, then your sub should play no higher than that. If it can play clean down to 70 hz, then set both there and make minor adjustments as needed.
Even though your mids/tweeters are passive, you can still set the 360 to high pass channel A at 900 hz at whatever slope you want to help blend the transition.
Obviously, every car is different... so ultimately you should tune it to what sounds best to you.

I see what you're saying about hipassing the mids/tweets with the 3Sixty.2 at 900hz and those slopes 12db or 24db (I am trying 24db) would override the 6db slope on the passive xover. Hmmm a simple matter of physics.
It sounds really good now.
Thanks
