Default Audio..need help

C5 (2002)
I have the JVC KDNX 5000 headunit. Now I want to upgrade speakes & add amp.
.
The shop says Alpine:
.
SPR-17s speakers
MRP-F300 4 channel amp (75w x 4)
Total cost install & cables lifetime warranty= $800.00
1.) is this a good unit or is there somethin in this price range better.

The Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS ($250) component set is a popular choice here..MRP F300 while not bad, it isn't the best, the Alpine PDX 4.100 ($270) might be a better choice...

I think the MRPF300 is a great amp if you dont wanna spend the extra bucks for the pdx just for the smaller footprint.

IMO alpine speakers are garbage

I can change my components, it's not being installed till next Tuesday.

Agreed. I have the 720's and I like them a lot. I run them from an Xtant X603 Amp at 75 watts/channel. I'd like to run more power to them... but they get plenty loud with the 75 watts.
