Default Pre-Install Questions (C4)

Getting ready to sound deaden my C4 coupe, and install an amp and subs in place of the 6 x9’s in the rear, but I have a couple of questions.

I would like to install the amp (Arc Audio Kar 600.4) on the back wall by attaching a piece of ¾” plywood to the rear bulkhead w/ silicone, but I am afraid it will not hold, as the amp is heavy. Has anyone done this with good/bad results?

I want/need to sound deaden the car, as the noise from the tires is unbelievable at speed. I have a Crazy Cowboy kit for the car, but I know this will not be enough. I am going to use RaaMmat and Over Kill Pro on the doors . I am also considering lining the inside of the wheel wells w/ the RaaMmat. I will also do the inside of the hatch area w/ the RaaMmat and the Over Kill Pro. Do you think one roll of RaaMmat (62.5 sq ft) will be enough? The doors and inside the car come first, as I can do the wheel wells anytime. In fact, maybe a roll of the cheap RaaMmat would work there?

Any comments, ideas, or tips welcome.

Randy

I'm also getting ready to tackle this project. I haven't seen to many pics with 8" subs in the rear locations.

In my C6 I did Raamat on all door surfaces, behind the seats, rear hatch area, and the outside of the rear inner fender wells, not under the seats and foot well areas. Used two rolls.
The entire inside is covered with Ensolite, including all door surfaces.
Then the Cowboy Kit everywhere except the doors.
The Raamat and Ensolite is doubled layered in the hatch floor, behind the seats and speakers.
At first I just had the Cowboy Kit , although it helped a lot there was still to much noise, especially from the rear tires. Doing the fender wells with Raamat really helped there.
Overall it was a lot of work but made a huge difference.
The Raam Audio website has a lot of good info.

Thank you Craig, You are the man.

I know it's only a C4, but no one has anything else?

I am going to document my install, where I publish it is still up for debate. Not that anyone here gives a sh*t.
