AVIC D3 Problems: Please Help
2002 Corvette Convertible
AVIC D3 Installed about 4 months ago.
Its currently connected to the PAC Adapter to use the BOSE speakers. (I do have some new speakers, just waiting for some free time to install them)
PAC Adapter is connected to stock ground and stock power if that makes a difference....
Pioneer Ipod Cable
RCA's from the sub preout to my JL Audio 500/1 and connected to my JL Audio 12 w6v2.
Here is my problems:
1. It seems I am getting no output from the RCA's to my sub amp. The amp does turn on and I have tested the amp with a MP3 Player and it plays perfect. While I tested it, I had the remote turn on, turn my amp on during the testing. In the AVIC's settings, the sub is on and set to max and still no result.
2. When plugged into the ipod cable, the sound is very destorted and sounds really bad compared to the Radio or the DVD. I tried messing with the SLA and it did not fix the ipod's sound. The SLA did increase the sound of the DVD to be about the same level as the radio though.
All of these problems came about when I was switching my amps. I went from an Alpine to my new JL Audio. Before switching my amps, the alpine amp was working perfectly.
I've called the Pioneer help desk and the guy was no help.
What can I do to test the RCA cables to see if I am getting output? I do have a multimeter.
I am about to rip out the bose with my new front speakers and I was wanting to test some things first before I send the AVIC to pioneer for repair.
Please advise.....
Thanks,
Justin
