What is the best way to make sure all of my speakers are correctly phased ?
The Autosound #101 CD info sheet talks about using a Perfect Interface PD-1 Phase Detector.
I have not been able to find much info on this and it likely quite expensive.
Just want to know what you guys recommend.
Thanks
Do I only need to check at the speaker.
Couldn't a speaker get out of phase through the electronics ?
All of the terminal connections have been checked, and I have no reason to think any are out of phase.
Well come to think of it, I am getting a pop from what seems to be comming from the RT midbass when I hit the ignition switch. This is more noticeable after sitting over night.
It is my understanding that an out of phase driver can wreak havoc in an otherwise great system.
But just because both sides are in electronic phase, that doesn't make it right by the time it hits your ears - hence my suggestion for a listening test.
I flipped my mid on the driver's side, then they sound in phase. When they are in electronic phase, it sounds like something is wrong.
