Default Removing the CD Changer Brackets

What a pain! Why does nobody have detailed instructions on this? I got a sub for my car and had to remove those brackets it was time consuming to say the least. I am doing another install this weekend and may take some photos.

I guess it depends on the year. On my 99 FRC I had to cut the bolts that were going through the brackets and push them out the back. They were in a tight spot up against the frame rail so they had to be cut.

On this next install its a stock unit so I am going to have to relocate the changer. Its a 98, does anyone know what I am going to need to do on this one?

the problem is the bracket that is left there after you remove the changer... I have a subwoofer box that is going in the compartment and the bolts are in the way.

I recall it was a PITA on my 99 coupe, too. I think they were riveted in there.
