Default Custom stereo ideas?

I know this is a corvette forum but i am looking for ideas for a custom stereo in a 69 camaro build i am doing. I want a good front stage and clean bass. The problem i am having is finding the best places to mount the fronts. If anyone has any ideas on the setup let me know

You tend to get the best soundstage by placing the speakers in the furthest location away from you. This minimizes the path lengths and reduces the need for processing. In a car like that I would look at the kick panel location with the drivers firing at each other. (Only if the drivers have a wide dispersion pattern (MB Quart, Focal)

So you're saying have them firing straight inboard rather than a fiberglass kick panel with them facing slightly rearward?

I know if you are using either of those 2 brands listed, a straight at each other placement will work ok. Otherwise I would probably put some angle on them. Doesn't really have to be much though.
