C4 iPod Install
I'm looking to install an iPod input on my 1994 with the Bose stereo. My CD player is broken, and I wouldn't even use it if it was working, so my idea was to install a mini headphone input into the Bose headunit where the CD output is and run the wire to the center console. Has anyone done this before, and if not, would it even be possible? I don't know what kind of output voltage the CD player has, and whether or not that would be compatible with an iPod's headphone voltage output.

Ooh, I didnt think about having to have a CD in the player to make it change to CD mode. Anyone have a way around this? Some kind of switch that I could mount in the center console that would activate the CD function?
if i recall its a digital signal that activates it but im not positive. if you could find schematics for the board you would be set because i know there are some guys with acura rsx that do this same mod but tap the fm radio side of the board
i wonder if you couldnt tap into the bose amps after the radio and bypass the radio compleletly
if you are intereseted in trying this shoot me a pm
