Update - Adding Tweeters to BOSE in C5
Hi all,
99HT is again right on.
I experimented further and placed the higher quality tweeters (5 kHz to 20kHz) with the front twiddlers and the larger sized (5K kHz to 30kHz) to the rear twiddlers.
Additionally, I repositioned the new front tweeters onto the door just above the front top of the speaker grilles.
Yes, better fader control and better sound quality all the way around; to my ears anyway.
Now for the subwoofer. Circuit City demo'd an Infinity self powered 10 inch woofer and it really sounded good. It is more than I wanted to spend $405. out the door. A Bozooka EL series self powered 8 inch is $200. but akward to fit. I also looked at 10 inch boxes and the price can really skyrocket. .6 box and speaker is $150 plus an 150 watt amp at $190. before tax. Again akward install. I would love to read some further ideas.

The published frequency response of a Tweeter does not tell you anything of how the impedance of the speaker varies over the frequency range. It is just a guess that a larger Tweeter will have a lower impedance at a lower frequency.
