Default C6 stock head unit question ?

Im wondering if i take out the stock base level head unit (non dvd unit)and i plug it back in will the dealer need to reprogram it for it to work ?

No, the VIN-lock is a permanent save in the memory so you would not need re-programming.

Yep, it will work just plugging it in, nothing else needs to be done(I've had my head unplugged more times than I can count).

It would only require re-programming if it were ever used in a different car. There' no lock or unlock codes on the C6 radios as there were on previous generations, they're hard-locked in their programming during installation at the factory and requires dealer programm via Tech II to change.
