another upgrade
had some electrical issues, bad battery, too much noise from the rear, a z2 that went bad. so after having the system for 7 months i upgraded as follows.
insulated the entire rear , including the battery and rear cubby holes, the doors and the floors. new filters, re ran some of the audio lines away from next to the power lines as the previous installer did.
Z2 replaced by z3 under warranty
MB Quart Q series components replaced by Focal 165vr3 3 ways
MB Quart P series coaxial in rear replaced by Focal poly coaxial
Alpine pdx 600/1 replaced with Zapco i2100
Alpine 4/150 replaced by Zapco i4100
custom sub box that attracted people with bad intent replaced with jl stealthbox. it said it came with 10w3 but had 10w1. will hear it tomorrow with my 10w3 installed.
i have a pretty stealth install and i couldn't be happier with the sound even with the 10w1 sub. i'll post some pics after i pick her up on Friday. will also be posting some ads this weekend for some 7 month old gear with boxes, this system will stay for a while.
