AVIC-Z3 in C6

my z2 went bad and my installer replaced it with a z3. only thing i dont like about it is the very slow ipod interface. after reading avic411.com i am glad that i dont have the new F series.

I have a Z2 in my truck. The unit would look great in a C6. Biggest gripe as stated before and you'll find the same over at the avic411 forum is the routing algorithm sucks. Other than that, I love the unit.

I'm installing a Z3 in my C6 this week. Just waiting for the mounting plate and Ipod interface to arrive. Already have the the Z3, Bluetooth, GMCO, 5v reg for the antenna, Ground Loop isolators(hopefully won't need them), and PS-WIPS sitting on my shop table. I'm keeping the Factory Bose amp for now. I have Onstar, but discontinued it, so I went with the GMCO instead of the GMAH24B and GMCHM. Less stuff to cram in behind the dash. I'll try to post pics of the install afterwards.
I'll agree that the Ipod interface isn't the greatest( I have a Z2 in my F150), but after reading all the horror stories about the F Series, I went with the Z3. Besides, the bypass works great on the Z series.
