I have a stock 06 convertible and wish to add a pair of Polk audio speakers I have in enclosures. I want to place them in the trunk for when I am at a party, volleyball game etc and can open my trunk and let the sound out. Is there an easy way to connect them to the radio? Can I daisy chain them from the rear convertible speakers?

Not much point in daisy-chaining them off the rears. Assuming you have Bose then the rear speakers are VERY low level, high passed and a MONO signal. Plus you'd drive the ohm load way down and possibly damage the factory amp.
The safest thing to do would be to tap the head unit for signal (there's a how-to in the Audio FAQ stickied at the top of this section) and run RCA's to the back. Install a small amp, like 2x25 or 2x40 (assuming you are talking about coaxials and not components, if components figure on more power) in the trunk with the speakers and you could run when you want by setting up some sort of 12V switch.

thanks everyone for the great ideas, and I have most if not all of the parts somewhere in my home, now if I can only find them.....
