03 Z radio problems...

so i noticed that my radio (stock) is making a whining/whistling sound through the speakers....

it is louder when the cd player is playing.... not the am/fm...

cant tell if it goes away when you turn up the volume, or you just cant hear it anymore..

but when the volume is low the whistling sound is loud1!! almost sounds like a fuel pump. and when you hit next track you can hear crackling?? almost like the you can hear the cd player making adjustments to get to the next track through the speakers.

comon problem?

any advice?

never heard of that one, cant even start to think what it would be
if the engine isnt running is it still there

sounds like some sort of grounding issue

Is the CD playing from a changer rather than the deck itself? If so, it could be somewhere along the run of the wiring harness the insulation has rubbed off and you're picking up interference.

yes the sound is still there when the car isnt running.

and nope no changer, just playing from the deck.

To tell you the truth im not sure, but I didn't notice it comming from one side or the other

bump for anyone who can help, it is really annoying me!!! lol the fuel pump sound from the speakers gets louder with the raise in engine revs..

and when i turn the speakers up i cant hear the sound anymore, but i dont always want to listen to the radio loud.
