c5 cd player not playing cd-rw

c5 cd player not playing cd-rw
My 98 will not play any cds that I have copied using windows media player. My wifes car will play these cds. I am using cd-rw discs should I use the -r or a differnt program to do the copies? Any ideas
Before anyone gives me hell for using copies in the car, I just had a few original cds stolen out of one of my cars.

I could never get an RW to work. I have jad trouble with cheap brands of CD-R's also. I also made the mistake of using a Magic Marker to lable the CD and the C5 player wasn't happy with that. It must have had something to do with the large black writing. As soon as I went with a Sharpie and writing around the very center - no problems.
