It sounds pretty damn good - at least as good as the bose sounded but now I can listen to my mp3s :) Then some day when I have money again I'll do it right with a power amp.

A helpful pointer in getting the door panels off... take the reflectors out of the doors and you can get to the first clip easily through the hole. Then you can pry the rest of them open without leveraging against the painted part of the door.
I imagined putting the original 4" speakers in parallel with the new 6.5" speakers (both are 4 ohms) would result in a 2 ohm impedance unless I used a crossover to split bands between the speakers. Since I didnt have any more crossovers I left the 4" speakers out. Is that logic right? Or is there something about speakers that doesn't apply to calculating resistance in parallel?
