I do not have enough room for two 10's but I can fit in 2 8' or a single 10" speaker. They will be hooked up to an amplifier. I do not listen to rap music, but I do like my rock with bass. Which setup would you recommend? This is for an 82 vette. Thanks in advance-Travis
Re: Basic Question, one 10' or two 8' subs? (ICULUKN-C5)
Two 8" will have more bass output and be tighter. One 10" will be able to hit deeper notes. I have one 12" in mine. I don't need to thump but I wanted to hit deep notes. The larger you go, the deeper and the less tight. The more surface area, the more output. Since the surface area of two 8" is greater than one 10", you would get more output. Lastly, a better woofer will destroy 2 cheaper woofers of the same size in depth and output. Put your money into a good single woofer in a sealed box. 10" is usually still very tight in sealed and 12" isn't bad. Ported and bandpass generate more output but aren't tight. 8" is generally to small to hit those really low notes. I'd go with a good single 10" or 12" if I were you and put the extra money you same from buying a single woofer into the power and the sub buying better stuff.

I agree a single 10" in a sealed box is a good bet. I've had very good luck with a single JL Audio 10w0 in about .8~1 cu ft. Used in both my C4 and full size van. They also make the w3/w6 for higher output.
By reputation I've heard those Eclipse aluminum cone models with the giant inner-tube surrounds are nice; I think the Infinities you're looking at are of a similar design?
