This ones a little trickier. You CAN use (1) amp for the sub and doors, BUT if you find a sub that needs a lot of power you'll want to go with 2 amps.

so if the diamond audio sub has a rms wattage of 400 i need an amp with atleast 400w rms @ whatever 2 or 4, ive seen you can ge the sub in 2ohm or 4ohm does this matter or as long as it matches with the amp being say 2ohm 400 watt rms X1. so what would be a good size amp to get to run both sub and components< polk audio db5251> this way i can shop price as well as simplicity. I m just uncertain about being able to tell if an amp has what i need to fit the components and sub< rms watts, ohms etc>

dont need exactly the same, i highly recommend the polk pdx 4.150 its a great amp and would power it perfectly. PM robls6 i used a 4.100 in his car slightly less power and he loves it and is local

You could go with the Alpine PDX-4.150. That will give you 150w x 2 for your doors and 300 x 1 for the sub. You would have to get the sub in a Dual 2 ohm.
I agree with Pent for the most part regarding power vs rms... You dont need exactly the RMS but when youre ready to get everything installed (assuming youre going to do it yourself) just watch your gain setting.

Thanks again. I will look. The amp over the next few days and plan on purchasing my setup this weekend sometime. As far as install no I'm nit planning to install myself I don't know the first thing about it$ sounds like I will have components in doors one 12 in nvus box and one amp or two to power speakers andsdub depeending what I go with

Thanks fir help. No iwe ont be doing the install don't have the first clue about it. I will look into the amps as I plan on purchasing the 12 as well as one or two amps depending on size and cash. Whjat are the reviews on power acuotic? Just another brand I saw in price range as I need to get the box the 12 and amp for underr 600 I also need to rfind a place or person to do install that nt cost me more thenm the entire system haha

sorry for the double post, damn blackberry would show the response was posted. back to the task, i need honest oppinions on amp or amp, the alpine looks and sounds nice but its a little pricey considering i need to buy the sub, the box, and the amp.

I highly recommend what u have 12" in the back, components up front, and a 4 channel amp. If you are looking for an installer let me know I have done atleast 10 diff guys cars on the forum

i definately appreciate that offer, pm with some details time frame cost etc etc, as for that i hope this system works well i think im going diamond audio sub, just dont know what size for channel or brand to get, i noticed diamond audio makes amps, just need some final input and research

I would recommend getting either a single 4 ohm sun or a dual 2 ohm which can be wired to 4 ohms which is what will be ideal to run off of 2 of the channel on a 4 channel amp
