I have an 05/c6 that i purchased in 06 that the previous owner had replaced the bose HU and had a pioneer DEH-p6700mp with an audison340W 4 channel amp w/crossover, I wanted to go back with the orginal equipment so i removed just the hu (pioneer) and replaced it with the orginal needless to say the unit powered up but no sound from speakers (the hu was programed to the car) I figured the speakers were re-wired to accomadate the amp & crossover and i am not that savy with amps an things so i figured i'll put it back the way i found it. so i did, and i know this because before i pulled it i wrote down what i disconnected and and where it went, the system sounds muffled with no highs and all bass mainly coming from the 10in sub but if you turn it up you can here it from all other speakers as well. anyone have any ideas as to a fix?
thanks in advance

The previous owner may have removed the Bose amp as well. Take out the passenger side floor mat and then flip the carpet at the firewall down from the top. The Bose amp is about the size of a computer hard drive just to the left of the fuse boxes. In the pic below it's on the left edge with the black cover, bar code and a pink connector just above the bar code. Make sure it's there and that it's plugged in. The door subs are self-amplified so they do not require that Bose amp.
Just because you may be "hearing" the 3.5" speakers when you crank the 10's doesn't mean they're actually firing. It could be sympathetic vibration so this is definitely worth checking.

Hey Komoman i wanted to thank you for your response i tried what you said and decided to check all connections again and it actually sounds and works better than before, The main reason i started fooling with this is because the local GM dealer told me the radio i had would'nt work with on-star and nevertheless this is how the thread was started so to make a longer story short i changed a few connections around and "wala" my on-star works and the radio sounds much better. so here's a big fat [B]THANK YOU [B]for your input.
