I had the ACC (on/off power) for my amp wired to the wiper fuse (non dwell) with a fuse tap and that worked OK except one annoying thing. When I turned the car off the amp turned off even though the head unit (and stock amp) would stay on as part of the delayed accessory bus (or whatever it is called) so I would lose sound. Not wanting to actually lose functionality over stock I have been trying to find a solution.
I looked at the stock amps wiring and checked a variety of circuits in the fuse box trying to find one that had the delayed function and was frustrated. Then I remembered that when I originally hooked up my radar detector to the rear view mirror I had it on a circuit that worked like I wanted the only problem was that circuit did not work with accessory on.
So here's what I did. I ran a wire from the mirror connector (pin 12 lt grn/blk) along the upper reveal molding and down along the window etc etc to the fuse box. It's very easy to do just be careful prying the molding. Then I spliced it in to my original wire so now it has power with accessory on AND has power when you turn off the motor (until you open the door).
The only potential issue I could think of was that I am powering this circuit in the mirror when accessory is on but that does not seem to be causing any problems and everything is working perfectly thus far.
And yes the bose system sucks bad. My JL Audio set up is the bomb.
i have to pull up a diagram, it doesnt turn off till about 2 min after the radio does, and when u unlock car it will come on for a few second because the oem amp turns on so incase it needs to chime
