Default I'm confused, please help

I've being trying to put together a stereo setup, I have visit many audio shops and everyone recomends somethig diferent, some say that I need to replace my door speakers with 61/2" coaxials, and some other say that they need to biuld door plates to acomadate the new 61/2" speakers, I think that our cars came with 8" bose speakers on the front doors, can't I just replace them with the same size speaker? please help

It depends on what your willing to do, and willing to spend. If I could do it over again I would do 8's and 4's in the doors. However for me 6.5's and 4's fitthe bill. A good 6.5" componet set will work well in the doors. However if your after the best possible sound and upfront mid-bass you can't beat an 8" setup. Good luck what ever your choice.

8" are fine for the front but you need to make sure they are in addition to a component system that includes a midrange. Don't just get 8s and tweets. If you have a good sub in the back, 6 1/2 seperates in front should be more than enough.
