Default Kenwood DNX7120 bypass?

I'm leaning towards this unit for my '09 Z06. Is there a simple wire ground for the bypass to allow destination input while in motion? I didn't see a thread on this, if someone has it please post it up.

I was afraid of that. Has anyone installed one of these? Is it as simple as they say?

So no module? I will definitely do the parking break wire ground then. I'm assuming this gives you access to all the functions while in motion without any problems?

If you look closely at the wiring instructions, it even shows that the parking brake wire just connects to ground. For safety reasons, the ground is switched through the parking brake, but it just connnects to ground. So if you don't want the parking brake safety swtich, you just connect it to ground.

Sorry, I thought it might be like the alpine that needs a sequence on 2 wires to activate or the Pioneer that wont work while in motion cause it feeds off of the gps. And I thought since you were asking you had already tried grounding the brake wire. What I'm trying to say is, I should know better.

it sounds like pioneer and alpine make it much more difficult to get around.

glad kenwood is much more forgiving.

this is a comment about the Pioneer...I have an AVIC-F900BT that has parking brake grounded and the mute wire moved and it plays just fine and yes it is a GPS unit.....I can watch movies while in motion or input addresses on nav.
