if you are on the fence about to sub your c6 or not well for one week i had 6.5 inch components in the door and 5.25 inch speakers replaced behind the seats with a nice 5 channel amp and it did sound very nice well i added a shallow mount 10 inch sub and WOW WOW WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE
Which brand sub did you go with. I am really wanting to add a 12 in shallow memphis? diamond audio? RE audio? but can not decide. Do you have any pics. thanks.

I don't think that Memphis, Diamond, or RE make shallow mount woofers. Pioneer, Kicker, and Power Acoustic make some though. They aren't all that great, but they are better than nothing....

I can not find a lot of reviews but youtube has a video of the RE SL series shallow sub. Memphis make an SCLASS and Diamond Audio's is called the HEX series. Just trying to gather info. Really want a 12 inch option that fits under top
sub thump makes a c6 box fir 139.00 and i bought a rockford fosgate 10 inch shallow sub for 110 dollars so for 250 dollars you will have major bass and the box is carpeted and looks great, and you can store your top. don't pay 600.

JL Stealth box for the C6 is what I am thinking about very hard. Planning on dropping off a deposit this week at my installer. Hope the little woman is not keeping track of my fun money. Coupled with a JL amp and the newly installed Kenwood head unit it should make me very happy.
i have a subthump 139.00 box with a rockford fosgate shallow sub...you won't be dissappointed with this choice and your wallet will have almost 400 dollars in it
Have you installed the JL Stealthbox and if so, did you keep the stock BOSE door speakers?... do you have any pictures... and finally... how does it sound

I just installed 2 subthump C6 enclosures with 2 RF PS3 Shallow Mount subs and it sounds amazing. Here is a picture of the subs installed. Best part, I can still store my top in the hatch.
That really does look good..
Did you go with JL?
And did you keep your Bose speakers?

No, The subs are Rockford Fosgate P3 Shallow Mount subs. MY car is 1LT so no Bose but I gutted the whole system. Here are a couple more pics.
Head unit is a Kenwood DNX6140 w/XM and iPod adapter and the speakers are Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS. The amps are 2 JL 250/1 powering the subs and JL 300/4 bridged powering the Pioneer's. I'm not running rear speakers.
I still need to snap the side interior panels in and the amp rack has screen material to cover the vent holes that will be painted Atomic Orange this weekend.
Looks incredible.
What do you think about keeping the stock Bose and just adding a sub?

That would give you more bass but probably not better bass. The Bose HU is not very good IMHO. I know many people want to keep it if it is a factory NAV but honestly, the Garmin built into the Kenwood blows the factory unit away. There are little things you can do to improve the factory sound system but for me it was easier and cheaper in the long run to just gut it all. I have lost a bit of room in the hatch but I can still store my roof back there and I don't put much back there anyway.
