Default GMRAP install question

The GMRAP purple wire needs to connect to a Class II Databus factory wire.

Which wire should I use on a 2000 C5?

Also regarding the GMRAP wire that connects to the device, (Kenwood 5120) do I connect this GMRAP wire to the switched power or to the constant wire on the Kenwood?

Basically...looking for a how-to on installing the GMRAP module.

The 'data bus controlled' +12v wire coming out of the GMRAP should be connected to the 'switched' supply wire of the new HU. You should have a fused and always hot (constant) source connected to the main power wire of the new HU as well as the +12v supply going TO the GMRAP.

The data wire can be tapped in a few different locations:

-there is a wire in one of the plugs that went into the orginal radio. I'm pretty sure you're looking for the orange wire at pin 16 of C2. Check out this radio schematic or this plug pinout to verify that for yourself.

-you can also get the data signal at the OBDII plug under the steering wheel. You want to connect the GMRAP wire to the wire coming out of pin 2 of the plug.
